Heavy-Duty Retort Stand Series – 12mm Rod, 60–120cm for Industrial & Advanced Labs
Product Overview
The Heavy-Duty Retort Stand Series (SKU 0207010160-05 to -10) is engineered for demanding laboratory applications where standard 9mm stands lack sufficient rigidity and load capacity. Featuring a 12mm solid rod (carbon steel / cast iron) and a choice of standard (135×210mm) or extra‑large (190×310mm) base, these stands provide exceptional stability for tall chromatography columns, large distillation apparatus, and any setup involving heavy glassware or vibration‑sensitive instruments.
This series includes six models: 60cm, 80cm, 100cm with standard base; 80cm and 100cm with large base; and a 120cm model with extra‑large base and upgraded rings. All come complete with cross clamp, flask clamp, small and large iron rings.
Key Features (Different from Standard Series)
12mm solid rod – Twice the thickness of standard stands (vs 6.2mm/9mm), resists bending under heavy loads
Carbon steel / cast iron construction – Damped, heavy, and durable for industrial environments
Two base options – Standard (135×210mm) or large (190×310mm) for extra stability; large base adds ~1.5kg weight
120cm tall model – Ideal for tall columns, with upgraded rings (62mm/91mm) and extra‑large base
Complete accessory kit – Cross clamp (17mm), flask clamp (12‑40mm or 13‑42mm), small and large iron rings
Anti‑rust coating – Powder‑coated finish resists chemicals and moisture

Why Choose This Heavy-Duty Series?
No flex – 12mm rod eliminates bending under load
Low center of gravity – Large base prevents tipping (especially SKU 08-10)
Long‑lasting – Thicker coating and robust construction
One stand for many uses – Holds multiple clamps without instability
Upgraded 120cm model – Largest ring (91mm) fits 3L beakers
Usage Instructions
Secure clamp with notch facing up.
Pad clamp jaws for glassware.
Keep centre of gravity over the base – for 120cm model, always use the large base and position heavy apparatus low.
Wipe clean after use.
For tall setups, consider using two stands for very long columns.
Ideal For
University & industrial research labs
Pharmaceutical pilot plants
Chemical engineering labs
High school advanced chemistry (demonstrations with 120cm)
Any lab requiring maximum stability
